Curley, Charley, Becky and Pat Emlet
As you can see we are a family based business.
Greeting Fellow Stitchers,
I have been doing art in
one form or another all my life. It seemed only natural to combine it with
my love for stitching. So years ago I began designing things I wanted
to stitch but couldn't find patterns for.
In 1998, after my father passed away, I took on guardianship for
my mother (she has Alzheimer's) and moved her to Washington to be with us. I
had taught art grades 1-12 for years but needed to be available 24-7. So I
needed a home based business but also a way to do art every day to be happy. So... I have been doing this
for 10 years.
I miss teaching bright young
creative kids but I am challenged daily by the computer (you know what I
mean). I do all my own computer work (I taught
myself with a book) and many times thought a hammer might be just the tool
to cure the problem LOL!!!
I have the most supportive
and encouraging family. My mother passed away 2008 on her 93rd birthday. She
is buried with my dad in Arlington National Cemetery. My daughter, Becky, has finished her nursing degree at Pacific Lutheran University and no longer
lives at home. She married the love of her life. They have been dating since
they both were 16. Steve Ericson (my new son) is a firefighter for the city
of Seattle. Becky works at Mary Bridge Children's Hospital and helps out with the
business when I send up an SOS. My husband of 30 years is a teacher
and ran the this business single handed in 2005 when I had back surgery
and was out of commission for 6 weeks. I call that a pretty great
family...don't you?
If you have a question just
give a call 253-848-9020 (I answer the phone with hello) or email cpbemlet@msn.com
. I love to meet and
get to know new people.
May you always find the
pattern you are looking for, warmly,
...
