Your
background fabric is as much a part of this tapestry as the stitching. Weather
you stitch this in navy or crystal heather you won't be disappointed with the
piece. The colors against the navy background are vibrant and aglow. However
when you stitch this piece on the crystal heather you have a soft wispy
feel. Crystal
Heather is a hand dyed fabric I chose because it has soft tones of blended yellow (which
radiates out from the sun), mauve, and warm beige. Interwoven in the fabric
is a crystal thread (see picture insert above) which sparkles as if a gentle
snow is falling. The glowing sun is stitched with a gold filament
blended with the
regular floss.
