This
pattern has been a popular choice for my customers for a number of
years, because it looks so nice, yet is stitching friendly. Because of
the way the shading is designed if you misplace a stitch or two (or
maybe more) no one will ever know...not even you!
The Chinese believed that the crane is immortal and is
therefore a symbol of Longevity but it is also a Chinese symbol for
Wisdom. The cypress tree represents grace and joy. In Chinese symbolism
the moon symbolizes unity and wholeness and is a time for reunion of
families. When these three symbols are joined in
this piece shows I am showing how our relationships and love for our
family can be broadened to include mankind. This
pattern is stitched on the most beautiful hand dyed fabric blending the
colors of a late evening sky and a blush of the soft after glow of the
setting sun. It is the time of day when all is right with the world.
